Seat advice needed
A friend of mine is looking at a 1998 XK8 convertible, green with tan interior (don't know the codes). The driver's seat is worn pretty bad on side near the door --- he's all concerned that it's going to cost an arm and a leg to get fixed, I've tried to tell him that there are bigger concerns, but this is his focus right now -- the timing chain and tensioners were replaced, so that's a good thing.
So, any idea what a used seat would cost or how much an upholstery shop would charge to fix a seat that's quite heavily worn?
Thanks

Quite a few members have gone with Vic's replacement covers and have been happy. $650 gets you a full new set of front covers and the armrest.
If the leather is still good then it can be repaired, but a couple hundred to repair or $650 for all new, I know which I would pick if the plan was to keep the car.
