I cannot adjust the rake angle of the driver’s seat back. The motor does run when the switch is pressed, but nothing happens. Presumably something has become disengaged or broken.

Can I be pointed in the right direction on this?

1. How do I access the unit ? I don’t know how to undo the leather cover and roll it up (preferably without having to do a complete removal and refit)
2. Any thoughts at this stage what I should be looking at?

Search the XK8 forum using the search phrase "headrest motor cable repair". You will find numerous threads explaining how to remove the seat back covers. A much easier job if you first remove the seat from the vehicle....
