Do your passenger seat adjustment controls work? I ask because on my passenger seat none of those items is working so I assumed they were related.

The seat heater is controlled by the seat module. Swap the driver to the passenger side to confirm that it is module or a heater element issue. The heater element has a temperature control built into the element.

Default Probably correct answer!

My passenger is being repaired. That probably why heater switch doesn't work.
Thanks!

Just picked up my '97 xk8. The pass seat heater switch is inop, but when you press the driver eat heater it lights up and both seats get hot.

Are you saying that when the driver's seat heater switch is pressed, the passenger seat heater switch lights up as well as getting hot? If so, it would seem that the previous owner may have been aware of the passenger seat module issues, and wired both seat heater switches to the driver's switch. Now that the module has been repaired, you can find where the switches were wired together and separate them.
