Default Seat heaters and cigar lighter

Hey all, new to the forum but searched exhaustively to no avail so figured I'd ask. About a week ago I lost power to my cigar lighter simultaneous to losing both seat heaters (lights on both buttons will no longer light) in my 2001 Xk8. I've checked all of the fuses and there are none burned out. I cannot find anything that logically links the seat heaters with the cigar lighter and both were working just fine before the mystery event. Not to mention it appears that both seat heaters have independent fuses..... Does anyone know of a common link that may explain losing all three at once?

Hi and a very warm welcome to the forum.

When you have a moment, drop into the new member area to introduce yourself.

As for your problem, under the drivers seat at the front there is the seat module. Disconnect all the connectors, clean the pins with a suitable cleaner and then reconnect. That should clear the seat heaters but not sure about the cigar lighter.

You could also try the hard reset by disconnecting the negative on the battery and touching to the positive for a few seconds.

Hope this helps,

Fuse 14 10A in the passenger side fuse box supplies the cigar lighter.

The fuse box is on the side of the dash and is visible when you open the door.

just in case you missed it.
