Be very careful. The seat switch pack is a poor design in the early XK8s. I know as I have spent far too much money on rectifying the problem of the seat pack coming away from its holder. You need to look at the back of the pack to gain some understanding how it is held in place.May I suggest "Google" Partbroker UK a reputable Jag parts supplier. There are several packs advertised. Open one of these so you can see the back of the switch. The lug at one end has to slot into its holder to be secured. As I have said be gentle and don't force the issue otherwise you will break the flimsy plastic holder. Just take your time. If as you say it has already broken from your seat you may have to source another switch pack holder as a replacement. Not easy to find so depending on the damage you might have to buy a second hand seat.

Thanks for the advice, replacement set of switches bought and carefully replaced. Yes it was a lot easier once I had seen on the new switches how the switches locate into the seat.
