Hello guys

My SLM is as flooded and was removed from the trunk. I am able to drive it however facing some electrical issues.

I tried to look for a used one online but unable to find the exact Vcat number. What is the impact of puting a SLM that is not matching the Vcat?
i dont think I can do any programming where I am in Dubai. What solutions do I have?SLM V cat LJE2600AB/005

Are you saying you can't find an SLM LJE2600AB or can't find one that matches right down to the last three digits? Most sellers won't even know what the last three digits are.

 

You are right. I can find the SLM serial number but not sure if its marching the VCAD 3 digits.
Will it still work without programming?

 

As far as I know it should work, all you will need to do is program the key fobs to the new module:-

Maybe someone else on here has more insight into what difference the suffix might make, but a second hand SLM is cheap enough to give it a try even if you can't find an exact match for that suffix.

 

If you can confirm the potential replacement also comes from a convertible, then you should be OK:- just need to reprogram the key fobs as dibbit has shown.
