Smile Seeking part..

Hi - I'm in Canada and need a headlight ballast for my 2003 XKR. Jaguar Canada says they don't have one and want to sell me the entire headlight assembly. So, here I am - does anyone know where I can purchase one? Or is there an alternative option out there - replacement part?
All help appreciated.
Thanks.

I also go to Amazon. There is a leak somewhere in my headlight that causes the ballast to go out if I drive through deep water. Typically the flash flooding we see on the side of the road in a Florida summer storm. The ballast used to be well over $100 but I just checked and they are now $40 on Amazon! Here is the link:

Amazon Amazon

Thanks.
I checked but the link informs me that this will not fit my 2003 XKR Jag unfortunately, even though it does appear to be a 12-pin ballast, which I need.
Thanks again.
Cheers.

I will check it out with my mechanic, especially since it works in your exact same car.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers.

Default Ballast replacement

I own a 2006 XK8 Victory Edition with HID and just replace one ballast without problem with a new one from Headlights Experts.

Hi - Thanks. I ended up with a new one (ballast) from Amazon, recommended by someone on this Forum. So all is good, but I'll keep your info available in case I need it in the future.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers!

Hey that is great news! Glad it worked. Ha, I do not like replacing my ballast but now when something happens at least it is not $150 or more like it used to be. Cheers!

Interesting this may explain an issue I have had since day one. My driver's side headlight is always very dim. I wonder if I have the 35 watt ballast in instead of a 50 watt ballast.
