Default Selling her!

Been almost 3 years now since we have had her.
All details/pics/carfax at 1997 Jaguar XK8 price neg.
Got debt to be paid off, this car is paid off, best cash maker in the stable.
Honesty of what you think it is worth is welcome.

hmmm, let me get my calculator....$119.99...shall I send you a check or money order?

Seriously, good luck on the sale, but i can't help on the 'value' of that model year. You might be close on asking price, may have to dip down a little, but hopefully there will be value in the major maintenance items you listed.

Hate to see you/it go. Looks like a nice find for someone. I think you're good on you asking price, and maybe come down to $10K. It seems like these cars are getting a premium right now, and with your care, and spring here, it don't hurt to ask

Yea I know that price will need to be neg. It is. I know lot of folks are scared of 97's but I have most of the major fault points fixed.
With this economy, debt, job security always a possible issue, it is best I move on and sell and get decks clear of debt just injcase one of us (wife, me) lose a job. Been spending lotz of the money this last year, time to tidy up a little and frankly this car is jsut not needed and is not really applical for us with 2 kids.

Sorry to see you letting her go but it's understandable. I think you're right on with that price as a starting point. Considering all you've done and the classic colours, I'd be talking to you if I didn't already have one. Good luck.

For those that may see the car via this thread the pics were not taken in 2008, that is a incorrect camera date. The pics are somewhere a year or a little more old.

Bummer man.

If you were in Canada I'd say the price is pretty low... in the States I think you may be asking a little much unless you get someone who has done their research and knows what they are looking it.

Good luck all the same though!

Try Autotrader.com and Cars.com.

I found the XKR I just bought on Cars.com.

Good luck. Nice car, by the way.

I would think that your price is VERY FAIR!!! Just hate to see you have to sell. If I didn't already grab mine last year, that i knew nothing about and paid more for what you are asking, you would have it SOLD! You have a very nice car and hope that you get FULL asking price so I may feel a little better!

butI do love getting the emails, the way they word things, they all are the same. I will email them back and f with them. They shut up and go away then. I love the ones that they can't get the car, that they need to ship it when I send the oney. I will start into them about just driving it to them.

+1 on cars.com. That is where I found mine. The dealer had it up on cars.com (no pictures yet) but not on its own website yet. Once I realized what a great car it was, I bought it before they even took pictures of it.

Asking price is 10k to anyone that finds it through this site. Located in Cincy, can deliver/meet up to 100 miles from Cincy.

I think your asking price is dead-on considering the fact that the tensioners/pump/thermostat have been changed. If those things weren't done then the $7000-7500 range would be more appropriate. I think a sale price of $10K is appropriate.

thanks. I also JUST put on some very nice performance tires, that are the wider stock tires (255 I think it is), so it really has a aggresive stance also.

Now it is not perfect, it does have it's nics and dings, not bad but not show room like many on here. Then again thus the decent price.
