Having bought my 1999 Jaguar XKR I promptly lost my job. Now I have a serious problem, I believe I have a head gasket failure (Lack of use I guess). I am using/burning coolant fluid at an alarming rate with no evidence of leakage and a lot of steam eminating from the exhaust. Can anyone help with guidance for me, a novice mechanic, to replace these please!!

 

There was a guy on here who was stuck in Malta, same sort of situation as yours. I can't remember his name, try searching "Malta" and see what comes up.

He was able to replace his head gaskets on a similar car, and the thread sould be of some help to you.
