Googling around yesterday looking for a replacement shifter plate, I believe I learned that: 1) I won't be able to buy one from a Jaguar dealer and 2) someone was manufacturing hot looking metal versions. I traced the latter to a thread on this forum--if I got this right, the manufacturer had made them for other models and was asked if there were plans to make them for ours. Yes, was the reply, later this summer. Well, summer's about over: did this ever happen? I wasn't able to find an update to the thread to see if this ever happened.
Anyone know?

i have seen a recent posts on 3d printing or die casting. but it looks like they are still in prototype phase. from what i can tell.

Yes, my 99 same. Purchased on Ebay, Billet plate. Took a little work however does work well. Rich
