Showtime?
The Bluewater Austin-Healey Club is having a charity car show this weekend. Obviously, Austin-Healeys are featured but other English and European makes are welcome. It's just a local show in some part of town I can't say I've ever been in. Definitely not a high traffic area. This is the second year of this show so it's not very well advertised either, I just heard about it today and it's a Saturday show.
Now do I admit my less-than-perfect example of an XK8 and show it off, or do I just take in the sights and wait until my car is showable?

Car Shows are fun, and it is a great feeling to be part of one. If you wait for your car to be perfect, you'll be waiting for a LONG time, and missing out on a lot of fun in the meantime. I say "Go for it!", and enjoy the ride. This one can be a warm-up or trial run for the one that you really prepare for.

Brians absolutely correct show it It may not be perfect but enthusiasts love to look at other peoples cars. I'm not much for sitting around in the sun or heat of the day. When our local club has it's show I was on the staff and that's more fun than sitting around.
Besides my XKR took third place in Jag convertibles and it was on display at the other end of the show so I could keep tabs on it. I was happy competing with a couple of $100,000 XKE's one taking 98 in a Jag show in Chicago. My car is a driver, not everyday mostly on weekends.

10am to 4pm on Saturday on a street called Rutherglen Close. Unfortunately there is no actual link for the event or even the club website. The newsletter used to be available online but I can't find the recent ones anymore.
