Default Side Marker refit

Hi everyone,
I have a 1999 XK8 with Jaguar oval logos on the side fenders just behind the front wheels. Does anyone know if the side marker lights from later years will fit in those openings? I'd like to do the upgrade if possible.

Thanks in advance.

I might be wrong, but I don't think it's a question of year - more about country. In the UK, XK8s and Rs are fitted with amber direction indicator repeater lights in that position, but 'just' reflectors in front and rear bumpers. US (and maybe other) cars have marker lights front and rear, but oval logos on the fenders (wings).
However - the good news is that Jaguar plumbed in the wiring for both markets - check behind the fender (you may need to remove the liner) and you'll probably find the wiring plug already there.

Sticks in my mind from a similar question long ago that US spec cars only have the side marker wiring fitted on one side but it's possible to wire in the other side ......

US members will confirm or ridicule as appropriate.

That is true only the drivers side was pre wired on US cars, though there have been several folk who have made this mod.
