Hi all,

My XK8 has had some welding dome on the rear sills and now I'm ready to repaint the affected areas, which originally had a type of textured protection paint under the body colour paint. Does anyone what type of paint to use match this existing textured paint??

Unless you have access to bodyshop facilities/materials then this is a good compromise. Practice on something other than your car until you get the hand of it.

most good auto paint stores sell spray cans of textured coatings just for that purpose.hold can 10 to 12 inches away,don't try to cover all at once.i find that 4 to 5 medium coats with ample drying time will do the trick last coat wet [for blending],steve.
