Anyone have experience w/ a Smartmirror install on an XK circa 2001?

Amazing product; big challenges w/ the install...

 

If the Smartmirror is an aftermarket product, I can't say i've seen or heard anything on these forums using it personally. Our mirror threads are mostly related to the dying of the self-dimming, and replacing it with rebuilt units. sorry.

 

Thanks - I believe the Smartmirror should be of great interest to anyone w/ an pre 2007 XK if they want current navigation and integrated bluetooth phone control. The most recent navi DVD upgrade disk for my 2001 XKR is the C2N 3030 - this mapping data is quite obsolete since it used Navtech map data from 2002! All the latest in dash navi multi units from Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. that could potentially be installed in place of the factory navi screen will not fit due to insufficient real estate behind the dash. Only decent solution seems to be the smartmirror.
