SMOG fail - computer not ready.
Had some work done on the XK8 2002 and had the battery disconnected. Soon thereafter I had to do a SMOG but it came back "computer not ready". I just drive around town, and heard them say you need to do highway for xx amount of time.
Is there a way for me to see if the computer IS ready collecting new data, using an OBD or something?
I am trying to avoid multiple runs to the SMOG place and the expense each time. I do not drive highway normally but can just to get the computer happy, but nobody has been able to tell me how much driving is needed.

I connected my OBD to read codes. I found this page. Is this what needs to read OK for it pass the SMOG? All of them (California, yr 2002)?
According to your scanner, you have one monitor that has not yet cleared and reset (oxygen sensor). My understanding of the California emissions law is that you are allowed one monitor to still be incomplete in order to pass the requirements. Our emissions law here in North Carolina also allows for one incomplete monitor. You should be good to go now....
