I"m looking for a replacement radiator for my 2004 XKR and found there are two different radiators on SNG Barratts. One is about $250 cheaper but has different dimensions to the other which looks like the standard part. The description says both are suitable for the 2004 XKR. Does anyone have experience with either one? Btw, the leak seems to be coming from where the upper hose connects to the radiator which appears to be some kind of plastic. The hose itself seems ok.
Forum Sponsor S N G Barratt regularly monitor the forum and I'm sure they will confirm the differences between the two.
It appears the higher priced item (arrowed in red) is OE specification and therefore a direct replacement for your existing radiator; the lower cost item (arrowed in green) is an upgraded part with double capacity but does require panel modification to fit as it is physically larger.
Be aware there are 2 separate radiators on an XKR. There is the conventional radiator for cooling the engine and a separate radiator for the supercharger air-to-water intercooler. Be sure to order what you need.
If it was me (and the radiator is not TOO hard to replace) I would just buy the one on RockAuto for $160... and if it goes bad you can still replace it like 5 times.
