Default Something Missing?

When I disassembled the air filter system to install new timing chains/tensioners, I noticed the connection where the tube going to the throttle body joins onto the air filter box hadn't been fitting very well and had leaked some dust into the system. Upon reassembly, I tried to be very careful tightening the hose clamp that holds the connection together but I could not get it to fit right. It seems to me that there may have originally been a rubber sleeve on the outlet of the airfilter box that allowed the tube to the throttle body to seal tightly and ours didn't come with one when we bought it after 106k miles. Can anyone tell me if there is indeed some type of rubber or plastic sleeve on the end of the filter box, and what type of clamp was used on that joint OEM?

Pictures are welcome. Thanks

There is a flat rubber o-ring call the 'duct seal' that goes around the airflow meter outlet, part number NJA3553AA (item 3), and a worm drrive clamp, part number JHC201401 (item 4).
