Default Speed it up a little

Is there a way to adjust the idle speed higher on a 98 XK8?
Mine is in the 550RPM area when in drive and I'd like to get it to about 600 or so.
I heard that the newer ones have a TPS that is adjustable and can adjust the idle.
Is that the same with a 98?
Thanks for any help.

If your oil pressure light is flickering at idle as you mentioned in your other post, you are going about this the wrong way. Increasing the idle is treating the symptom and not solving the problem.

You may have a clogged oil sump from plastic debris from broken tensioners and guides. This needs to be cleaned out by dropping the oil pan. If this is neglected, and your engine is be suffering from poor oil circulation it may have a reduced life.

This car is a modified drive-by-wire design...the idle speed is electronically regulated. The mechanical throttle is a failsafe mechanism. The throttle adjustment is set to provide zero throttle application at idle.

I cleaned the sump after I replaced the tensioners, guides and chains.
Yes, oil light is flickering.
I have a new sending unit/switch coming tomorrow, but the idle does seem a bit low to me.
I'll check lower end bearings next if sending unit doesn't cure it.
Thanks for your advise!
