Default Steering Wheel Adjustment

When lowering my steering wheel it goes down a couple mm then stops, then I have to release and actuate the switch again. Again it stops after a couple mm. After doing this 3 or 4 times it travels to the full down position. When going back up there is no trouble, just down from full up. The same for memory position, it will come back to the correct position but when it starts down it drops a couple mm then stops, I have to actuate the switch to get it in the position I like. Is there a flakey position sensor or something?

There are 2 schools of thought. The cleaners and the surgeons.

I did surgery on mine, and never looked back: different-tilt-motor-solution-145376/

If you search the forum for this tilt function, you will find other threads describing disassembly and cleaning of old grease, etc. These solutions seem to be temporary, but it might have worked for some...

Do what fmertz recommends, easy and works.
