Storing car for 6 months
My '99 XK8 is about to be stored for six months whilst I am in the UK.Any tips from the experts as to the best preparation. For instance:
Full fuel tank or not?Add fuel stabiliser or not? If so, run it through the engine before shut down?
Re the tyres I will put it on axle stands before leaving.Battery will be off the car and on a float charger.I thought about disabling the fuel pump before starting when I return so as to crank some oil pressure to the tensioners before it runs?Oil ,filter and coolant will be changed before leaving.
All input on this one appreciated!!

No need for even half that effort. Living in Canada, I store my summer toys for six months a year and conversely my winter toys for six months also. Fill the gas tank. Disconnect the battery and attach a battery tender (not trickle charger). Inflate the tires to the maximum pressure indicated on the sidewalls but do NOT put the car on jacks stands which would let the wheels just hang. That would put the suspension bushings under tremendous stress that they're not designed for. No need for stabilizers unless it would make YOU feel better.
When you return, attach the battery, lower the tire pressure to normal, turn the key and off you go. Engines do not go any 'drier' of oil after six months than they do after six hours.

Agree, that's what I've done the last few years with the exception of fuel stabilizer. I use Starbrite marine with a full tank of premium gas. Usually enough runs through on the trip back from the gas station to treat the injectors. Obviously going to be different opinions on this, but its cheap enough even if it is just voodoo. Same with the mower, outboard, and diesel engines I have complicating my life. 200 gal of bad fuel is a headache.
