At the pump, does the longer hose go on the top or bottom connector.

I made a paint mark, but when the fluid leaked out and wiped it down, the mark was gone.

 

Doing it trial by error, the long hose goes on the bottom and Murphy being Murphy, I put the long one on the top first.
The long hose had a faint 'F',probably because I kept leaking fluid on it and cleaning it off.
