Default Sun Visor - RESOLVED

my 2001 XKR has a sagging sun visor on the passenger side. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Jim, I have moved your thread here to your model specific subdirectory.

Might I also add you should follow forum protocol and head over to the "New Member Section" and give a nice little introduction. You find many benefits by doing so.

Welcome and enjoy all the site has to offer!

Jim,

I've moved this thread from XK/XKR (2006 on) section to XK8/XKR (1996-2006) section. I'm sorry it was put in the wrong section for your model. This is probably why it got no replies so far.

Jim,

There's not too much in the way of parts involved in the Sun Visor:

(click on the image to enlarge it)

Is it the Visor (item 1) itself which is sagging or the securing bracket with the two screws which holds it. Alternatively, does it look like the Support Clip (item 2) is broken?

Hi Graham,

The diagram solved the problem. I didn't realize that the plastic cover for the securing bracket could be removed to expose the two screws. Took me all of about 2 minutes to fix.
Wonderful! And, thank you again for all of your help in getting me set up on the forum.

Gus,

Thank you. The moderator, Graham, sent me a diagram which helped me solve the problem.

Jim,

Thanks for posting the result. I've added 'RESOLVED' to your thread title to help others searching for similar information in future.

2 years later, this allowed me to fix my visor. Go jaguarforums!
