Do not make the mistake of installing a moonroof in your coupe. Every few years you will have to deal with clogged moonroof drain hoses (there are usually four of them) that fill with pollen, leaf debris, and whatever else falls from the sky and accumulates in the relatively small-diameter drain hoses, even in cars that are garage-kept most of the time. You have to drop the headliner slightly and blow out the clogged drain hoses with compressed air. Trust me, it is a real pain in the derriere. My 2005 S-Type has a factory moonroof. I had to do this back in September 2012, and the car needs it again right now. When the drain hoses clog up enough, the excess water backs up and gets gravity-fed to the area underneath the back seat floorboard carpets. I do not look forward to disassembling the numerous interior roof parts that must come out in order to drop the headliner enough to get a compressed air hose to the moonroof drain hoses. And after you have cleared the clogged hoses, you have to get your headliner to stay put where it belongs again - always a challenge....

For this very reason I always prefer vehicles with no moonroofs....

I have a 2003 Xtype Sport with sunroof, and when I drive it, always use it without any issue. I miss open air, but fear getting a convertible because of the horror stories.

I'm sure the cost of installing one would sway me against it anyway...
