Default Supercharged illuminated?

Back in town and blasting through the tunnels around Monaco. It was dark and and was looking at the instrument cluster. I noticed I did not see the word "Supercharged" as it was not lit.

Is this a major engineering flaw?

Actually, I was standing in a traffic jam and was looking at all the details after having been away for 3 months. I then noticed that the word supercharged disappeared from the rev counter dial. So my heart stopped beating. After looking better I noticed the word is still there but not illuminated.
So do I have to change a bulb?

Mid February I'll be crossing the Mont Blanc tunnel but that will be with the S-type to go to Chamonix for some serious skiing. Inside that tunnel there are too many camera' anyway

Now I have to go and look at my light.....

Well you said you were blasting through the tunnels so I assumed you making the high speed run video you talked about.

Let's do some skiing at Chamonix!

I am only an hour away from there.

Let me know when.......not likely I am going to be taking my XKR up the mountain in Feb.....

Let's hope for some snow because it is still bone dry up there down to 2,000 meters as of last week.

cheers,

jj

Yes video footage is planned for this weekend. Wanted to dothatyesterday but had the wife in the car who just got out of the hospital for an operation on her knee which got screwed up last year in Chamonix.

Skiing has always concerned me injury wise, particulary knees. I enjoy running and walking for exercise too much to risk it.

Hey I just checked....I don't have a super charged light!

Now I feel swizzed.

J00, Sorry about the wife's injury....it is always worse when it is them than us.

Look forward to seeing you in Feb.

I thought of you because I was supposed to be in Doha today when the trip got cancelled a 0'dark hundred because my Italian Super Model Wife was too ill to travel.

Before that I was wondering if you were down there.....now I know....you were tunneling.

Have you looked under to the bonnet to make sure that the supercharger is still there? Maybe a disgruntled XK8 owner elsewhere in your traffic jam did a quick engine change whilst your attention was elsewhere. You MUST be more careful in future.

Personally I have no big supercharger envy. I do like the body styling, however.

Were you referring to the car or the Italian Super Model Wife?

I had the same question for my '06 XKR. On the tachometer, the x1000 lights up, but the 'supercharged' doesn't light.

I double checked, and it's still under the hood.
