Default T B install problem

Hello all! I just reinstalled my T B and got a problem . After resetting battery and starting the car, in about a minute or so, I could smell burning and saw smoke coming from under the engine, on the drivers side, turned off and let cool. Later I checked the coolant and it was low, so I topped it off and restarted, but the same smell and smoke started again . maybe the T B bolts are not tight enough, I don't know, but thought somebody here, might have a thought about it.

Not an expert but maybe the TB coolant hose is leaking?

Did you use a new gasket and did you torque the bolts? As for the coolant leak you have a hose in and out of the TB if you are leaking it would be from the hose connections and or the coolant tank. I had to replace my tank just the other day because of a leak on the bell housing. Check the tank and the hoses behind/under the tank.

Default On further inspection

I removed the T B again and saw no leaks around T B or coolant hoses, However I did see something that may be the cause of the burnt smell, and the smoke. I noticed a black spot, very near a bolt(which I think to be a valve cover bolt) to the right of the dip stick, and below the coil cover. I felt the bolt, and it was wet with oil along with the burnt oil. This is the area that the smoke was coming from, so I guess the T B had nothing to do with the smoking. Last year the tensioners were done and I guess the valve cover gasket is leaking? Question.. Can that bolt be tightened without removing stuff? It seems hard to access.

You need a 1/4" flexible extension to reach some of the valve cover bolts. Do not tighten to more than 11 Nm or you will cause more problems by deforming the plastic valve cover or breaking a bolt.
