Tail and Side Marker Lights not working.

Tail and Side Marker Lights not working.
I have a 1998 XK8 the taillights and side marker lights stopped working. I checked the fuses and they are good. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any help will be appreciated.

OK,
I suspect that there may be an issue with the lighting stalk. The wires occasionally break at the switch due to constant flexing.

The Electrical Guide gives Red with Yellow tracer as the wire colours for the sidelamps. As PB notes, a multimeter will help with diagnosis if it's not something immediately obvious. That wire should be grounded whenever the switch is at the 'side' or 'dip' position.
