Default Ten years apparts

While checking the brakes I realized I was parked next to a ten years newer XK.

Amazing what 10 years of engineering changes cars.

I like the 97 mouth better, what do you think?

Nose not so much.

10 years of engineering might make a “better” car but it is not as good looking.

Default New vs old

A while ago, I was lucky enough to park next to the new Jag XF. Pic below.

Having both a 2000 XKR and a 2007 XKR, I have to say that the 07 is possibly my favorite car I’ve ever owned. My 00 is a very good car and I’ve enjoyed the decade I’ve owned it; but the 07 is a better car in many objective ways; but I will concede the X100 oozes style in a more time gone by and classic way. I think the 07 looks bad ***, and the interior is bigger and easier to live with; but the X100 has a look to it that harks back to the E type, which was done intentionally.

If you eventually want to get a different car than an X100, consider the X150, my good experience with the X100 led me to take the leap and it’s been a very good experience. I will say do your research; the earlier x150s have less issues than the later cars; the 4.2SC engine doesn’t have the timing and water pump issues that CAN occur on the 5L motors and still has 420hp/413ftlbs.
