Which tensioner, mayonnaise and breather mesh.
Hi all.
Thought I'd check which upper tensioners I have and I can immediately see they are better than the originals because there's no separate mounting plate. Can't see in cracks on the just outer edge of the tensioner piston which is good.
The tensioner body is 40mm wide if that helps, the bolts are 35mm. Anyone know which generation of tensioner these are?
In the cover was a smear of mayonnaise, normally I associate this with water mixing with oil but there's not much here. Maybe it was just oil mixed with a little condensation?
Lastly when I lifted the cover a plastic plate and two wiremesh filters were just sitting around the cams. I've replaced them where I think they go but why would they just be lying around the cams? Could be they just fell away when I lifted the cover off.
Cheers.
Paul.
