Default Are there any hard copy XK8 service manuals?

I have been searching, and see the JTIS, either on CD or downloadable; however, are there any hard copy [paper] manuals?

Is there a free download for JTIS? I ask b/c I saw some references to this, but could not find the download site. Any help would be appreciated by this brand new owner of a '97 XK8 vert, white w/ beige interior. Gordo

Default I've been trying to find...

Aftermarket manuals for a while but haven't been able to. If you find any be sure to share the info.

Thanks

Default JTIS Sourcing>>>

JTIS Sourcing: Do most members purchase the JTIS CD; or do they download these files?

Are $14.95 CDs oneBayOK? I would assume they are all copiedfrom original Jaguar CDs intended for dealership usage.

I have a '97 XK8; do I need the later updated versions?

Finally, I have tried to download JTIS from a couple of 'free' download sites. They files were either corrupt, or otherwise could not be opened w/ zip extractors, etc. NE1 know of a valid, working, free download site?

I certainly don't mind paying a few dollars for a Factory Service Manual. However, Idon't want to spend good money on a document file whichisdoes not provideuseful information.

TIA Gordo

did you try this one? I don't know how to make it run from your computer, only how to operate it from a CD. Perhaps someone else will link you to the forum page that describes how to do the former. good luck.

Yes that is one of the sites I used to download. My GF is a geek and even she can't open it. She said some CD's have code which limits the numbers of copies which can be made. This code extends into the downstream copied files as well.

Are the Ebay CD's OK? I am not looking for a freebee so much as I want a useful maintenance manual. gordo
