Default Third Brake Light

The light bar cover in the rear window hath fallen, and the entire lamp assembly is loose. The light still works, so I refused Jaguar's offer to install a new one. They said something about a broken clip (a great reason to throw down $500 haha).

Anyone have any ideas on how to secure the cover under the light more effectively (shimms comes to mind), and secure the light bar better?

Mine came off sometime back, but I clipped it back on and it seems secure now (guess I got lucky?), but I usually use a double sided 3m tape in these situations.

One of the techs rolled some rubber tubing under the light tray cover and it snugged up real nice against the rear window, but after a few days I noticed it rolled back out a little. I got some double sided tape and ran it along the front part of the tray the light sits in and pushed it up against the window and it's been secure ever since with the tubing still underneath as a back up. Best part is you can't even see the tape thru the glass because of the tint on the window!

Great suggestion, pomosv!

I removed mine. I didn't like it.

Wish I could, but it's required to pass NC inspection. What's worse, if more than three of the LED's that form the light bar are out, it won't pass.
