Time for speakers!
So it seems after purchasing my 2000 XK8 Conv. Jag 3 months ago, I come to find that only one of the 4 mid speakers (driver side) from the rears and doors was working! Well, that last one also went. it seems although good Alpine sound acoustics, they are made of @!#*?!!! Therefore, I am reluctant to re-cone these things just b/c they are acoustically correct for the car. According to two car audio sites, after market replacements best suited for this application are the Rockford Fosgate Prime R152's.

Does anyone know if I might have fitment issues? Are there any other recommendations from the Jag gurus on here?
Thanks!

I've heard a few different brands, and went with Polk Audio Momo series components in the front for the better midrange. Woofer in the door (obviously) and the tweeter in the dash as opposed to the door a-pillar. I tried both, the door was too 'directional' - good for a supertweeter, but lousy for midrange. The dash local 'blends' the vocals nicely.
Go rockfords in the rear for subs, others have liked the results alot.

I havent messed with the speakers so am not sure the diameter when you say 'midrange" in doors and back. I haven't tried these but one of my dash speakers on my premium sound system is out (which I think is a midrange) and I was considering these as a replacement. No idea of the quality...just putting it out there for you.
