Default Tonneau cover

Hi, I've been cleaning out my late Father-in_laws garage and found a bag containing the tonneau cover for his XK8 (which has already gone). It's in good condition, I don't recall him ever using it. Is it worth anything. Thanks

There's obviously not much demand for that particular item in that particular colour but .................. S N G Barratt would relieve you of £792.00 for a new one, so it must be worth a fair amount to the right person !!

Technically speaking, the XK8 was not supplied with a proper tonneau cover, which should cover the entire exposed cabin area when the top is down, namely the front and rear seats as well as the folded hood...

The convertible-top cover as supplied by Jaguar is not worth the effort of putting-up & taking-down for short trips, and I doubt most owners will ever bother with it. I have not used it even once in my 4+ years of owning my XK8 vert...

What are you talking about? I can get mine in place in under 60 seconds! It probably helps that I just store it, unfolded, in the "back seat" when I'm parked.

I drive top-down for both my morning and evening commutes every day (until summer rain season starts, then it will probably only be in the morning). With 12 of my 16 mile commute at highways speeds I'd be worried about the convertible liner getting beaten up by wind and Florida sun. And it is so easy to put the cover on and take it off it isn't a bother at all!

I'm trying to find out what it's worth and I think the postage from the UK would make be too expensive

Shipping does not look too bad, depends on how small a package you can get it into. If price is right and you can let me know shipping I would pay both. I'm in Verbena, AL zip 36091

I've just looked at prices and around £40 ($52). It all depends on what the cover is worth and what you are prepared to pay
