Top pump quit.
Someone may figure this out right away but I can't.
Put the top up and it latched.
Day later, go to put it down and I get the following;
Beeper sounds (normal)
Rear windows lower (normal)
Front windows drop their notch (normal) then go back up and nothing else happens.
Connections are good on the pump. (fluid nominal) I took off the Rev's resistor and connected direct, no change.
I pulled the up and down relays which are numbered the same and switched them, no change.
JTIS 15(2) shows no fuses in the line that I can see and I could find none blown. Seems unlikely both relays went at once.
Any ideas folks???? Thanks for your time

Do you have a "hood not latched" warning on the dash? If so, maybe it just got out of sequence. That happened to me when I first got my car. Gus' instructions on fixing that issue were very helpful.
OK,,,,
I'm stumped. Best I can guess from some of the work in the forum CVT Top threads is that there may be an actual mudule for the functioning as well as some micro switches that could fail. I can say on the lowering command that when the system gets to the front windows down point (then refuses and sends them back up) there is no pump noise at all leading me to look for a failed fuse or micro switch. There are no warning panel messages.

The body processor and security and locking modules controls the top operation and the 'out of sequence' issue is real. Been there.
May I suggest that you do the debated hard boot by removing the negative cable from the battery and touching it to the positive post. At least you will know the electronics are reset. I manually unlatched and lowered my top and then manually raised and locked it to restore operation but you might try just operating the latch open and closed first. If you need to go beyond that remember to open the manual valve on the side of the pump body. There are three micro switches, two at the latch and one on the right side top of the ram that must be in their correct positions in order for the top to function.
[edit] after reading WhiteXKR's post and attachment, which I had never seen before, it would appear that the top operations is far more complex in regards to micro switch operation than I understood.

Thank you White XKR and Test Point. That gives me something to go on. Now, After my last post, I went for a drive and while parked, I tried the down one more time before going after fuses. Well, it's not fuses because the top opened maybe a 1/4 of the way, the motor stopped then I pushed the button again and it continued down as it should. It's as if the motor is throwing a breaker. Now, I did swap the up and down relay with no luck before so maybe both are defective? Don't know yet.
I printed off the sheet you directed me to White XKR and I'll try to troubleshoot from there. Thanks again to both of you.
