Default Transmission Drain and fill or power flush?

I was replacing my radiator and when I saw my transmission fluid it is time for a change. The fluid is a dark brown and looks bad.

My dilemma is to do a "power flush" via the cooling lines or the more traditional drain and fill. I like the idea of replacing all the fluid with the flush. My concern is that I have read some threads where people are concerned about creating problems with the flush.

Has anyone have evperience with doing a power flush?

There is a good video that explains the differences and concerns . As to whether it applies to the specific transmission is a different matter . See about the 6:00 minute point and then there is the concern over leaks with a flush ?

A few years ago, we had a very interesting forum meeting at Mackie Automatic Transmissions in Glasgow, Scotland.

Those who attended were left in no doubt that power flushing was the way to go.

I plan to replace my transmission sump/filter pan and therefore will be replacing the fluid at the time. I was also concerned about all the old fluid left in the torque converter and figured I might do a drain and refill later in the season to further "dilute" the old left over fluid. This power flush seems like a good idea but I have had no luck searching for a 'how to' in this forum. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point me to a link.
