Question Tried butchering my cd changer, but all sometimes the right channel drops out

Sometimes the audio levels drop, it's like im only getting one channel and bass is reduced, volume drops and so does bass - it's like a 50% drop. I've only got one sub installed currently, which I guess could have something to do with it..?

What could be the cause of this? If you loose ground you get almost no volume, so I dunno.. Using and iphone 3gs line-out as source, pretty loud actually.

Is your speed sensitive AVC (automatic volume control off) ? Hold down volume knob for 2-3 seconds. If it says AVC ON, then quickly press volume control one time, it should change to AVC OFF.

Not sure its your problem, but worth a try.

AVC OFF, it said, so I guess it was OFF.

It seems like the problem is that the right channel drops out at times, but the signal cables are soldered pretty solidly, so it shouldn't be a cable issue.
