I have a trim code sticker on the door and deciphered some items but have some gaps I am curious about. For those of you who have been at this longer, any ideas? Here's the scoop:

Jag XK8, 1998
COLOR: PDX (Antracite Metallic)
TYPE: PC-VT (?)
TRIM: LEG (Warm Charcoal, Leather)
on separate sticker:
Factory Authorized Enhancement: 5479 (?)

That is a new one on me. My sticker doesn't have "Type" and I have no idea what the "Factory Authorized Enhancement" would be.

 

I'm going to take a guess at TYPE, PC probably stands for passenger car. Usually on type they will have Passenger Car spelled out. VT? Factory authorized enhancement? Haven't heard of either.

 

PC-VT = Passenger Car - Vehicle Type

One of 22 vehicle Types classified under Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations in Canada:

Can't find any reference to the 'Factory Authorized Enhancement: 5479'. As this appears on a separate label, it is possibly a Jaguar approved accessory reference number.

Thanks for your input everyone. The most important of these was the paint color to order the right touch up. I had no luck doing a web search on the authorized enhancement and now I'm dying (well, not really) to know what the heck was enhanced. The car came into Canada originally and something may have been done back then. I have not really noticed anything outside of normal except maybe crome added to the wheels instead of the stock aluminum.
