Trim level details
Hi chaps
I've lusted after an XK since they came out and have just started to seriously look for a nice used example. I've been lurking around this forum for a while and have picked up some knowledge on early car reliability etc... I'm fairly competent at DIY mechanics (rebuilt loads of older cars in my time) and would be confident fiddling about with minor maintenance issues.
I'm looking for an XKR coupe somewhere between 03 and 06.
My question is, whats the difference between all the different trim levels? (base, Victory, Portfolio, 100 etc.) Should it make any difference in price?
I think I've seen them with Recrdo seats, I quite like the look of them, anyone know which levels they came in?
This is my first post here, so please bear with me if this topic has been done before!
Thanks in advance...
Regards

Basically, get the latest model you can. The run-out XKRs from about Jan. 2005 got all the options as standard, although I believe the Recaros, which my car has, were still an (expensive) option right up to the end. They LOOK superb, but IMHO don't quite live up to their image in terms of comfort and support (others here disagree with me on this one). If you find an XKR w/o them, don't be put off. The active cruise control is superb and came as standard.
P.S. I am in Europe, so US spec may differ.

Thanks for the input...
The 'Sports trim' is the Recardo option is it? What else comes with the seats?
I'm off this afternoon to take a look at my first possibility, it's an 05 R base model with 43000 miles, looks nice except for some rather unpleasant looking after market wheels...They are asking 27k, I'm thinking I should be able to do a bit better than that, but it's my first look, so a learning experience...
