Trip Meter Will Not Reset

Xkr 2005.

Is this a common issue. Press 000 for 3 seconds or longer and nothing happens.

Do the other switches work in the switch back? Perhaps the switch back was unplugged during service and not put back. This video shows how to remove it to check:
