turn signal

Default turn signal

i'me having trouble with the left turn signal not cancelling after I make my turn on my 99 xk8. can anybody help ?

The cancel mechanism is under the steering wheel. As I recall it is a plastic tab protuding from a larger black plastic structure which is screwed into the left side of the steering column underneath the steering wheel.

You will have to remove steering wheel to get eyes on it. Not a hard job, plenty of instructions here from me an many others.

Will you be lucky to find a broken peice to glue on and restore? Small chance but you never know. At this point I should allow others with more specific knowledge of this advise you. Mine comes from removing that peice, noticing it and thinking oh that's how the turn signal works, to get to wires underneath.

It's called a 'Cancellation Module' for that reason.
