At that price it's a no brainer. The Michelins are a better tire. Assuming you're talking about the Pilot Sport 4 or 5.
Apropos of absolutely nothing, I refuse to use Firestone, even if I got them for free.
I'm old enough to remember the Firestone 500 debacle, when they were selling these vulcanized pieces of s***t and people were dying because of blowouts. Firestone maintained there was nothing wrong, until proved otherwise. Then history repeated itself in the '90s when all those Ford Exploders started blowing tires and flipping. Again, Firestone was innocent... until proven guilty.

As to the OP, I've run AS tires on my "higher performance" cars, (as well as my DD), for decades.
If I want to throw myself into the drivers door or tranny tunnel I take a highway exit at over 35 in my 61 Vette w.wide white wall bias plys....while hanging on to the 2.5' wide steering wheel!
