Upper wishbone
Driving slowly on a rough road in Wisconsin in my 1997 XK8 I heard a clunking sound coming from the front of car. Thought it was a sway bar link gone bad. What a shock when I removed the front wheel, the rear leg on the right upper control arm (wishbone) was broken. Lots of penetrating fluid, heat, impact wrench, extra long braker bar, six beers, I got the pivot bolt out. Replaced control arms, bushings, and expensive bolts on both sides. Just something to keep an eye on.

Bob,
The upper wishbone bushes are a regular fail but I've only had one wishbone shear:

This one took around three days of alternate heating and hammering to remove the pivot bolt.
Polybushes are a popular upgrade. They last longer but give a firmer ride.
