Default valley hoses leaks

hi guys, I have a leak problem at one of the two valley hoses. I was wondering ... while I am waiting for the parts I ordered (the 2 hoses, manifold gaskets and special tool for the fuel line) can I use the car keeping the heating off or even in this way the pipes will continue to leak?

I used clamps (
Amazon Amazon
) to block off till the parts came in, was like 3 weeks to get every hose.

I wouldn't.
Even if it's only a dribble now, that can turn quickly into something worse. Also, if the coolant level is low, then the 90% useless temp gauge will become 100% inoperative if the coolant sensor is uncovered.

You do not want this motor to overheat.

"If you must", your best bet is to prevent the buildup of pressure in the cooling system. The standard answer is to drive without the radiator cap, but I am not sure that can be accomplished in our cars without making a mess and/or loosing a lot of cooling fluid in the process. These are normally tricks to get you home, but not normally encouraged when you are already home.

Best of luck, keep us posted.

If you leave the cap off all the coolant that normally goes to the atmospheric tank ends up on the engine and exhaust system.
