Jeff-

Be aware (or make your shop aware) that the interior panels from Paragon will likely need to be shaped a bit to fit snugly against the inside of the boot. Not sure why they don't come perfectly shaped, but they don't (at least mine didn't). Tony is helpful with installation tips, though.

BTW...thanks for your original post on the Victory tail lights...ordered mine this morning. Gaudin is having to bring them in from England now before they can ship them to us...about a 2 - 3 week turnaround. I've been guaranteed that the new assemblies WILL be the smoked Victory version.

Presto!

The parts are scheduled to be here on FRIDAY... all the way from the UK to the USA! WAHOOOOO! Perfect timing.

Thank you, Tony from Paragon.

The inner panel parts can be seen at the bottom of this linked page:
Paragon Design UK - Rear Light Conversion
I just took out my 2002 jewel tail lights to compare to your photo and the back is identical. So it is a simple swap for the later jewel tail light.
I wonder how many regular tail lights will hit ebay after all these get installed!! Lol
Now if I can just find a pair of later model black interior headlamp lenses! Maybe gaudin has those too!
Just checked and they do have them! But explain how the complete tail light assembly is 150+ and just the clear front lense portion of the headlamp is 250+?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Awesome Blue Steel shirt from Gaudin. Thanks, guys!

This Palm Beach shirt is crazy-comfy.

That's a nice "thank you" for all the orders your OP resulted in.

Congrats, Jeff, you finally got some. I know you have been lusting after them for months. They are exactly what I have on my 4.2-S (Victory). Please post pix when done

One on, one off. You can really see the difference.
I was worried they wouldn't be that noticeable on my black but I think they may even look more tinted. I've looked up pics of victory editions and on silver, they didn't seem as dark.
Now, I just need my convert hard cover in black gloss and I'm done!!!!
Oh, and better tailpipes, and black suede headliner............maybe I'll never be done!!
Can't wait to drive it to the JCNA event this weekend in Little Switzerland!!!

Well based on your installed photo I finally bit the bullet and ordered a set of these from Gaudin to be shipped tomorrow. I have gotten to the point where I always expect the worst but then am pleasantly surprised when the worst doesn't happen.

Possible "worst" scenarios are either that the tail lights come but are clear rather than tinted and/or when removing and replacing the tail lights electrical connector falls apart in my hands or some other stupid catastrophe. On the other hand things might go perfectly (crossing my fingers).

As long as the part number is correct, you should be fine. I worried about the same thing with the tint/non tint issue. I assumed I would get the wrong ones too!!
As for installing, it couldn't be easier!! My original lights were stuck so it took a firm wack to get them out but they finally released. I also stupidly tried to pull off harness until I realized it takes a simple press of the wire clip and it simply pulls off. Hell, they even come with the bulbs!!
I'm ordering the 06 headlight lenses with the blacked out sections as soon as I can get an 06 vin#. Gaudin says if I have the vin from a car that has the factory black lenses, then I'm assured the correct ones. Mine seem to leak anyway in the rain or wash and I get the misty film inside so I hope this stops that AND gives me a newer look!!
I hope everyone posts pics of their buttlifts!! (Car that is!)

Very nice. It does make quite a difference on a black car.

When I ordered mine I also got a pair of the quad exhaust tips to go with the new lights. I've always liked the quad tips the best and they should just fit through the existing cutouts in the early rear bumper.

Can't wait to put them on this weekend!

Send a pic. I'd like to see the tips.
Are they a do it yourself or do they need any welding?

There are held on by two allen bolts, same as the earlier version, no welding required.

Here is a thread from a while ago showing how they fit in the earlier bumper, which has as slightly smaller opening than the later one.

Certainly will take some pics when I get back home and get them on.

Forgot to ask--is there some sort of rubber seal or gasket that goes between the lamp assembly and the body? If so did it come with the assembly?

They look superb, but I knew that already

Now you have to source some Philips SilverVision or LED indicator bulbs to get rid of the egg-yolk look. It's the law

Comes with!! Be sure to adjust them while installing. I had to re install my left side because the seal slipped a bit and I didn't notice but took 1 minute to do!
Oh, and don't forget in the excitement to plug back the harness, I did and felt like an idiot when they didn't work!! Lol

Already ordered!! And the led spider bulbs that pop open inside the housing and give a starburst look. Sounds hooptie but really do look great!!
