Default A visit from the mum-in-law...

We all know that little kiddies can fit in the back seats... well, at least, somewhat.

Now, with the mother-in-law also visiting... indefinitely... turns out the wife can fit in the backseat, too. But, only behind the front passenger seat since mum-in-law can pull her seat farther up towards the dash to allow some semblance of legroom for the wife.

Usually, with this many people (i.e., more than two), we take the other car. On this day, the wife and I were going to take the XK8 out for a short day trip. Before we took off, wife's mum asked if we could provide here a lift to a recreational establishment about 30 minutes away. So wife squeezed in the rear temporarily so we didn't have to cancel the plan to take the XK8. Not much headroom in the rear with the seats being pretty much straight vertical, so the top came down. Wife noted, "it was bearable".

It's also 'bearable' to sit sideways in the backseat. My 14-yr old neice has to do this sometimes. Kudos to your wife for being so patient.

She's thinking...wife sits in back, husband sleeps on couch.

Fortunately it's a convertible and we can pull the top down. I suspect it can get very claustrophobic in the back of a coupe.

Not so much claustrophobic but a real ball trying to get out!
