Hi - I'm considering purchasing new Vredestein tires in the stock sizes for my '01 XK8. I've only found both front & rear sizes available in their Hypertrac Ultra High Performance All Season. I'm interested in hearing comments about this tire. Thank you.

The Vredestein tire brand has gotten quite a bit of good press at Tire Rack this year. As a result, the available stock has been very low (and sometimes completely sold out) and the prices have risen significantly for all Vredestein tire models during the past few months. I was considering their HiTrac all-season tire model for my wife's 2015 Lexus RX350 but Continental was offering a better deal on their LX25 tire model during August so I pulled the trigger on a set of those tires a couple of weeks ago. Both have 70,000-mile treadwear warranties. My biggest concern with Vredestein would be if I needed a new replacement tire quickly due to damage, would I be able to get it....

 

Thanks, Jon - future availability is something I hadn't considered although I was aware that current stock can be problematic.

 

They get good consumer reviews on Tire Rack. I am considering them. They are priced well, also.
