Default VVT Solenoid ?

Should there be seals on this solenoid (2001 XK8 4.0)?

There is a seal mounted in the valve cover that usually stays with the cover when the solenoid is removed. Easily replaceable and available as an individual part. Also O rings on the solenoid itself.

Thanks for the response...would you happen to have some sort of diagram or illustration that shows the placement of the o-ring on the solenoid.

I spent a few minutes trying to locate the O ring seals and thought it was probably your job to do that.
