Default Wales run...

As subject line really - just did a round trip of about 600 miles. The trip to west wales about 260 miles... short trips whilst there and then the 260 miles back. I have to say, this is the first time that I have really 'driven' the car and the first opportunity to see what it can do. She didnt miss a beat at any time. I was well impressed because you never know. The car behaved and performed impecably - well impressed with accelaration from 70 to 110 wow!. She even put up with lower ron unleaded because Tesco in the dark and distant west of Wales doesnt do the Optimum. Oh and whilst on the subject of fuel - she did the 260 ish miles on THREE QUARTERS OF A TANK which I was well impressed with. Speeds from 40 mph to QUICK. If that had been my old modded Focus RS with 412bhp, I would have been on empty by the time I got there. I know there will be a difference in fuel tank sizes and capacity but even so. I thought it might have been a fluke since the trip down was a lot of start stop stuff. But no, the trip back was uninterupted and a more or less cosnatnt 70 80 90 and the needle was on a quarter full when I got back. All in all, good run and the car a beaut! Canonball Run anyone?

ALL SPEEDS IN KPH OF COURSE!

I love the roads of Wales and frequently slip over the border for a rapid blast on my bike. Great place

Empty roads and sheep - it must have been a bit frightening after London.

Sounds like a great trip.

And there was me thinking I'd heard ALL the sheep jokes there ever were.

Default 70 to 120 in two blinks of an eye

The trip sounds like a lot of fun and I'm not referring to the sheep
I concur with you on the wild and fast acceleration from 70 to loose your driving license speeds. On several occasions I was able to unleash the kitty fury - on a usually empty mile and a half of somewhat even pavement. Good God, it is soooo much fun, it should be illegal. Wait, it is illegal. In any case, the Jag is a true GT - its fast, it's got exotic looks and it's rather comfortable for a car that stands 5 inches above the asphalt.

70 to 120 in two blinks of an eye

My mother used to say two shakes of a lambs tail, not really relevant but ties into the whole sheep thing.
It's not often you hear of someone running into Wales but it does sound like fun.
