Default warning light for cruise control

I have suddenly began experiencing an amber warning light that flashes between "check rear lights" to "cruise not available". As for the rear light, I suspect that one of my brake light bulbs is burned out....not a problem. Anyone have any clues as to the problem with the "cruise" warning???

Would appreciate any help you can give me...

thanks

Check for burnt bulbs for sure, but this message is typically for the infamous brake switch problem. Lots of posts about that...

Default warning light for cruise controll and rear lights

Appreciate the multiple replies.....unfortunately, after checking all the things I could check, it appears that the problem is the switch....bummer! Expensive [art and not easy to replace,,,

Depends. The individual switches can be bought very cheaply, and soldered on the existing board fairly easily if you can spare the time. The new part is not that durable anyway...
