Long time since my last post, but I'm stumped. 2000 XK8 Convt. I sprung a leak on the water pump gasket nearest engine block and upon removing pump, the pump came apart in two pieces. I was able to find many references and sources for the metal gasket nearest to block but nothing on the gasket between the two sections of pump. I can't tell if PO had replaced pump or not and I can't find any markings on pump itself, it does have a metal impeller. Does anyone know of a source for the "between" sections gasket? Also is there an current type of coolant I can use to refill?

 

Hmm,you could make a gasket easy enough, but friend a new pump costs about $35 around her. Maybe just ditch the troublesome pump and get a reliable new one?

I'm just in the process of changing mine and it came with a paper gasket.

 

Thanks I was leaning that way and decided to just get a new pump.
