I take the Jag XKR out just about every weekend in the nice New England weather. It is a recreational driver as per my collector car insurance. When I bought it I created a bunch of CDs and loaded into the deck. I usually play a random shuffle, and decided to only include British bands to honor its heritage. I actually name all my cars and this one is named "Mick". A play on words as in Mick Jaguar. It was only appropriate that the last song played was Satisfaction... for which I got plenty of when spooling up to 100 mph one the highway this past weekend.
What was playing at the end of your last trip.......
One tape or CD only per post please. The general idea is to ignite some old memories and get folks listening , not to incur ridicule..........unless it happens to be 'Liberance plays Vegas' or 'Showaddywaddys greatest hits' then you are on your own and deserve everything you get
i find Bob Marley’s boxed set fits my ftype driving experience quite well.
Looks like we have some rather diverse tastes here...I do a weekly Freeform Radio show (Whole 'Nuther Thing) 88.5 FM in Southern California on 88.5 FM I play what I want when I want and all genres of music are covered from Rock to Bach. Here's a link to my archive site Whole 'Nuther Thing with many years of shows that you can listen on demand or download. It's Radio like we did back in the late 60's early 70's. Also available on Tune In Radio App..
Old school. Came from the times when it was necessary to listen to your car. First thing is to turn the audio off, she usually has it on some forlorn whiney caterwallin hillbilly tunes anyway. Listen to your car, your surroundings and yes your pipes. Yeah I know.
Amphetamine Anny...my dear friend LARRY TAYLOR..."THE MOLE" wrote this song about his wife! They are still happily married and the Mole is still kicking. We spend time in Maui w the family.
I'm with Terrific - I usually just listen to the sounds of the car as I'm driving. However, the last time I drove my 2003 XK8 convertible I had my 20 year old daughter with me and we celebrated the recently arrived warm weather here in Michigan by driving around with the top down and blaring out the Beach Boys Greatest Hits.

Reason: clarification
Totally, I have BB, I can hear music, Don't Worry Baby, Fun Fun Fun, Deadman's Curve on the same File, listen to it all the time. My wife and I just came back from LA a couple of weeks ago. We drove Colorado Blvd. and Hwy 66 and Drove Sunset and Vine to Dead Man's curve. Great trip.

Bob Goodman, I live in LA and when I listen to radio it's almost always 88.5. Great station. I have listened to a Whole 'Nuther Thing in the past as well. Good to know you are a fellow jag driver and thanks for your always interesting show!

Thanks for listening, my 2 passions have always been Cars & Music. I remember seeing the intro of the XKE at The NY International Auto Show when I was about 11 and I fell in love.

......yup. I don't have tunes in my Model T either. But as my XK8 exhaust is unmolested and the hood is mostly down that's impossible.
